Hello, I'm Leilani Maree

I write faerie stories for children — the kind you read slowly, with a pause before the page turns.

My stories live in a fae realm with many doorways. Faeries carry wishes, dragonflies carry faeries, and a rag doll with big black eyes goes off on adventures of her own. Underneath the glitter, each story holds something small and true to talk about at bedtime: being brave, being kind, telling the truth even when it's hard.

I write the stories and shape the outline of every book. Then Dionisius creates the artwork — every cover, every page — drawing the fae the way I imagine them: bright, curious and only a little bit mischievous.
